A New Beginning

The Minneapolis planetarium was torn down in 2002 with the old central library. We are currently working on a replacement so visitors will again have the opportunity to witness the wonders of the universe in a large dome theater. With funding from the state legislature and citizens like you, we are pushing ahead with plans for the new Planetarium and Space Discovery Center on the top of the Minneapolis Central Library.

Help us launch this project and Make Contact with the universe.

Before the opening of the Minnesota Planetarium and Space Discovery Center, there are other options to get reacquainted with the night sky — check our links in Minnesota Astronomy or check out the upcoming Events andExploraDome programs.
